Privacy Policy

EThan Social is a video, short-form and live streaming platform. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Browsing the site does not require an account; creating, commenting and subscribing does.

• Account data: email address, hashed password credentials handled by our authentication provider, channel name, avatar and bio.
• Content you create: uploaded videos and ET Shorts, thumbnails, live stream recordings and archives, titles, descriptions and live chat messages.
• Activity data: watch history, view and watch-time counters, subscriptions and reports you file.
• Monetization data: the Google AdSense Publisher ID you choose to link to your channel.
• Technical data: IP address, device and browser information, and log data used for security and abuse prevention.

• To operate the Service: hosting, playback, streaming and search.
• To show you your watch history, subscriptions and creator analytics.
• To enforce our content standards and investigate reports.
• To serve advertising and attribute ad revenue to the correct publisher.
• To secure accounts and prevent fraud and abuse.

Videos, ET Shorts, thumbnails and saved live stream recordings are stored in private cloud storage buckets. Playback happens through short-lived signed URLs generated only for content that is publicly listed on the platform. Deleting a video removes it from the platform; residual copies may persist in encrypted backups for a limited period. Live chat messages are stored with the stream they belong to.

• Essential cookies and local storage: keep you signed in and remember playback preferences. These cannot be turned off while you are logged in.
• Analytics: aggregate view and watch-time counters help creators understand their audience.
• Advertising cookies: set by our advertising partners as described below.

EThan Social displays advertising supplied by Google AdSense and Google's video ad services (the IMA SDK / Ad Manager). Ads may be served against an individual creator's AdSense Publisher ID or, as a fallback, against the EThan Social platform publisher account.

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies and device identifiers to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the internet.
• You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info.
• Where required, we request consent for personalised advertising before those cookies are set.

We do not sell your personal information. We share data with service providers who host our infrastructure and database, with advertising partners as described above, and with authorities where required by law or to protect people from harm — including mandatory reporting of child-safety violations.

You can edit your channel details, delete your videos, clear individual watch history entries and unlink your AdSense Publisher ID at any time. To request access to, export of, or deletion of your account data, email privacy@ethansocial.app. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of your data.

EThan Social is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Ad requests from our players are not marked as child-directed; the platform is a general-audience, family-friendly service.
